For UK spring weeks, internships and graduate roles

Stop reading the guide. Start answering.

Practise the technical questions banks really ask, one step at a time. Then rehearse HireVue and live interviews out loud, and get marked the way a banker would mark you.

  • Free to start
  • No card needed
  • Feedback on every answer

Try the question below: it's the one almost every interviewer asks.

  1. Income statement
  2. Cash flow
  3. Balance sheet

Walk me through

Depreciation goes up by £10. Walk it through the three statements.

Step 1 of 3 · Income statement

What happens to net income?

Assumes: Tax rate of 25% (the UK main rate of corporation tax). Tax is paid in cash in the same period. Depreciation is deductible for tax.

From application to offer, in three steps

  1. Step 1

    Find your gaps

A 10-minute diagnostic across every technical topic shows where you stand, and builds a day-by-day study plan around your interview date.

  2. Step 2

Fix them, a little each day

Short flashcards and interactive questions that adapt to you. Every answer explains why, and your mistakes come back until you get them right.

  3. Step 3

    Rehearse out loud

HireVue and live interview practice for technical and behavioural questions, with follow-ups and a mark on every answer.

Your progress page shows how interview-ready you are on every topic, and your study plan tells you what to do each day.

Interview practice

Feedback like a banker gives it

Answer out loud, HireVue style or in a live interview where the interviewer follows up. Every answer gets a mark, what an interviewer would think, and the three things to fix next time.

Try a practice interview
Example feedback · TechnicalWalk me through a DCF.6.5/10

What an interviewer would think: Right steps in the right order, but you stopped at enterprise value. They'd push you on how you get to a share price.

  • Correctness4/5
  • Structure5/5
  • Completeness3/5
  • Clarity4/5

Do this next time

  1. Finish with the bridge: subtract net debt, then divide by diluted shares.
  2. Say why you discount at WACC: the cash flow belongs to all investors.
  3. Name one assumption you'd sensitise, like the terminal growth rate.

Why it works

Interviews test what you can say, not what you've read.

  • Say it out loudPractise HireVue and live interviews by voice, with follow-up questions and a mark on every answer.
  • Learn from your exact mistakeEvery option explains why it's right or wrong, so the trap you fell into is the one you fix.
  • One right answerAssumptions like the 25% UK tax rate are stated on every question, so nothing is ambiguous.

Questions

Who is this for?

University students applying for spring weeks, summer internships and graduate roles in investment banking, starting with London. You need to be 18 or over.

How do you know the answers are right?

Every question states its assumptions (like the 25% UK tax rate), so there's one right answer, and every option explains why it's right or wrong. The numbers are checked automatically. If you ever spot a mistake, report it from the question and we'll fix it.

Can I talk to a real person?

Yes. Book 1:1 mentoring or a mock interview with someone who has had an internship, offer or experience at firms like Goldman Sachs, Rothschild & Co and Houlihan Lokey. Sessions are 30 or 60 minutes, by video call.

I'm a parent. What would I be paying for?

Full access to every topic, all the practice questions and flashcards, and full interview practice with feedback on every answer, for the recruiting season. The Season Pass is one payment with no auto-renewal; the monthly plan can be cancelled at any time, and UK consumers have a 14-day right to cancel. You can start free, with no card, to see if it helps.

What happens to recordings and personal data?

Camera video never leaves your device: it's only there so you can watch yourself back. Spoken answers are turned into text, and we don't keep the audio. We don't show ads or sell data, and you can delete your account and everything in it at any time.

Is this affiliated with any bank?

No. We're independent and not endorsed by any bank. Firm information comes from public sources, each labelled with where it came from.

Will it help me cheat a HireVue?

No, and please don't try: banks prohibit outside help during real assessments. This is practice, so you're ready on the day.
